Summertime has an abundance of activities to choose from. The Municipality of Georgina has the most linear distance of waterfront on Lake Simcoe. This gives the community a unique advantage for the outdoor enthusiast. Waterfront restaurants with a cool beautiful breeze coming off the lake provide picturesque sunsets. If you’re a thrill seeker PWC (Personal Water Craft) and boat rentals are available. Beaches and local parks make for an excellent place to picnic for the day. If you wish to be pampered The Briars Resort & Spa is ideal for any time of year. Georgina is also home to multiple golf courses from public to private. From cycling and fishing to windsurfing there is so much to discover!
Winter Time Activities:
The winter wonderland of Georgina is something not miss out on. Home of The ROC York Regions adventure headquarters. The ROC has many activities summer and winter. The winter activities include tubing, snowboarding, skiing, free tobogganing & outdoor skating. Cooks Bay and Lake Simcoe are well known for excellent ice fishing and snowmobiling. The frozen lake often resembling its own community of ice huts and adventure seekers.
