As Georgina's official birthday draws near, here's a fun fact: did you know it's named “Ontario’s first Cottage Country” ?

"....By 1877, as transportation improved with steamers and railroads, Jackson’s Point began to see an influx of seasonal residents as boarding houses, hotels, cottages and campgrounds opened along the accessible lakefront. It developed a reputation for being a desirable resort region and was soon given the moniker of “Ontario’s first Cottage Country”.... (source: wikipedia)
