Why Live In Georgina?

Lake Simcoe, Georgina, Jackson’s Point…

What do you think of or what do you see when you hear these words? For me it is a four season paradise. I love it, I live here and I discover something new in my lovely town every single day over the last 20 years.

We live in a special place that offers a lifestyle like no other in Ontario. Whether it’s cycling on the area’s scenic trails or exploring the picturesque region by water, there is nothing quite like feeling the warmth of the sun and the freshness of the breeze on your face as you enjoy the scenic beauty of the southern shores of Lake Simcoe. Lovely sandy beaches with clear water and numerous marinas kindly invite you to enjoy swimming, fishing, boating, kayaking and paddling.

If you are looking for some family fun you can go to The ROC (Recreational Outdoor Campus) for Ropes & Rocks Drop In & Climb, lawn bowling, the labyrinth, tennis courts, volleyball, the splash pad and much more…

Some of my friends and family say: “Winter is the best season in Georgina”. And I don't blame them. The great Canadian winter pastime, ice fishing is tremendously popular here. Lake Simcoe Championship Ice Fishing Derby runs every February, and thousands of locals and visitors not only from Canada but also from the States spend days and weeks on the ice.

The ROC isn't just for summer, it too offers lots of entertainment in winter time: tubing, snowboarding, skiing, outdoor ice skating, tobogganing, etc.

It’s a different world out here in Jackson’s Point, Willow Beach, Virginia Beach and Pefferlaw. It is so peaceful… you feel like you are a million miles from the hustle and bustle. And it is only 1 hour drive from Toronto. You are not constantly fighting traffic like you are in the city. You live here and you have beautiful, quiet, paved roads with low traffic.

Just move here, live here and work from here; I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do.
