Tips From Tanya

A DROP ZONE

We all have busy lives and we all seem to take the short cut, however most times this leads to frustration and stress...... I have learned to do my best to stay as organized as possible during a very busy day... one step at a time... This may sound easy (and it is).... It is small but helpful way of organizing your life at home... It will help de-clutter your surfaces and may even help out in stressful times when you are exiting your home...

WELL...... Let’s implement and create a DROP ZONE. This area should be near your foyer or entrance and exit from your home This area is meant for your personal belongings that you usually take from indoors to outdoors... on a regular basis (wallet, keys, handbag, cellphone). Once you have established your designated area an organizational concept that works best for your space... it will over time help you have a routine and this routine will then become a behaviour of organization... Most of the time we create our own clutter.... we walk in from a busy day drop our belongings randomly on the stairs or on the kitchen table or the kitchen counter or perhaps all those spots ...Then we have opened the door to disorganization and our space starts to become cluttered... Having a Drop Zone by your entrance way will help you stay organized, and may help your level of stress when leaving your home (you will know exactly where everything is). This habit will keep all your surfaces looking organized and there will be less clutter to look at, less obstacles for you to move around...everything has a place...you will always remember where your belongings are... Let’s evaluate your space.. perhaps a chest of drawers, or an entrance table or even a shelf that works for you.. all of these ideas work... you only know what is best for your space and your lifestyle... Have a vision. Now bring this space to life, bring this space a purpose of organization. Enjoy your new entrance way.. knowing exactly where your personal items are and not having to search for them ever again.... Let’s all have intent in wanting to move forward one small step at a time... LETS BE ORGANIZED...
